What we publish

The Swiss Biotech Directory lists companies registered in Switzerland whose business is fully or predominantly focused on life sciences.

Foreign life sciences companies, and Swiss companies from other fields such as consulting or finance, can be listed only as associated members of the Swiss Biotech Association.

Every new profile and every change is checked before it is published, and we decide whether a profile is published. Read the publishing rules

Steps

Claim or add your company in four steps

Most companies are in the directory already, with a profile our editorial team created. Look for yours before you add it.

  1. Search for your company

Open “Find or add your company” and type the name. On the Swiss Biotech Directory it opens with “Add” beside the title, in your account under “Add something new”.

    Find or add your company

  2. Claim it, or add it

“Not claimed yet”: press “This is my company”. “Managed by its company”: a colleague’s account has it, see who has access. Not in the list: “Add … as a new company”.

    Who has access

  3. Log in

“Log in”, or “Create account” with your business address; a company has one author. A company you claim keeps the plan of its membership. For a new one, members take the “Members Listings Plan”, other companies the “Free listing”; both are free, and we set the right one when we review your profile.

  4. Fill in and submit

Complete the profile, with pictures and your pipeline where you have one, and press “Submit listing”. “Save as draft” keeps it in your account for later.

Pictures

Your icon and your cover image

Your company icon and cover image represent your company across the directory. Follow these guidelines for the best results.

What is an icon?

Your company icon should be in a square format, ideally 500×500px. It is the abbreviation of your logo, and is shown on our maps, in your news on our site etc.

In the form it is “Company icon”. Your full logo goes into “Company logo” and “Vector logo”.

Don’t

You upload
The directory shows
The full logo as the icon: on the card and the map it shrinks to a strip that nobody can read.

Do

You upload
The directory shows
The mark of the logo, square: it fills the tile and is recognized at a glance.

Choose an illustrative cover image

Use an image without any text to illustrate your company. Ideal format JPG 2000px wide, 1000px high. Be aware that your JPEG is cut off from all sides to fit the responsive design of our website, e.g. on summary webpages (as the directory homepage) or on mobiles. If you use logos or text in this pic, they might get cut off.

The card shows the middle of the picture, darkens its lower part and sets your name and icon over it.

Don’t

You upload
Advancing life sciences since 2005
The directory shows
A slogan in the picture: the card cuts off both ends, and what is left competes with your name.

Do

You upload
The directory shows
A photograph without text: whatever the card cuts, it still shows your company.

Tips for the form

Some hints for your company listing

Enter the correct company address

Input your company address in a way that the integrated Google Maps function can pick it up. Please do not add additional address information in the location field. Use the “Additional address info” field below the map instead.

Directory data usage

Please note that we use your data from fields marked “For internal purposes” solely within the Swiss Biotech Association and in direct communication with you, and do not share it with anyone. By submitting this data, you agree to this use of your data. If you think that your company entry was claimed by a wrong person, please contact us.

After you submit

What happens next

The review

We check a new profile or a claim within 5 working days and email you once it is online. Until then it shows as “Under review” in your account.

Keep it current

Log in and press “Edit listing” on the profile’s card in your account. A change is checked again before it goes live. Nothing to change? “Renew plan” under “My listings” marks your listing as still valid and prolongs its expiry date, with the plan that matches your company’s membership.

Expiry and relisting

A company profile stays in the directory for 400 days. Should you not update it in that time, the author receives an automated email as a reminder to check whether the company data is still correct: follow its link and log in. An expired profile shows as “Expired” in your account and in the company search: “Relist” publishes it again with its data and the plan that matches your company’s membership, after a check.
